Senator La Keisha Jackson

First elected to the State Senate in April 2024 to fulfill an unexpired term, Senator La Keisha Jackson brings with her decades of experience in helping the underserved and disadvantaged.

Prior to joining the Senate, Jackson served as an Indianapolis City-County Councilor for nearly 10 years. Aside from being a state senator, she has continued to serve as Chief Executive Officer at Pathway Resource Center, an Indianapolis organization which works to provide resources and training to individuals and families in need.

She has received numerous accolades for her work, including two Mayor’s Community Service Awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by President Joe Biden in 2024.

Sen. Jackson is an alumnus of Indiana University and received a Masters in Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2007. She lives in Warren Township, where she has resided since 2000.
