The Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus is committed to serving Hoosiers and to addressing the important issues facing our state. Our members represent a diverse constituency of Hoosiers from areas throughout Indiana, but our resolve to improving the lives of all Hoosiers and to building a stronger state is unified.

Our Caucus Agenda is intended to provide a clear sense of who we are, what we stand for and the direction we hope to take Indiana. As issues arise and situations change, our agenda may be amended to reflect new concerns shared by our constituents.

The theme of this year’s agenda is “Hoosier Values: Senate Democrats’ Vision For A Better Indiana.” Too often, you hear politicians throwing around the phrase “Hoosier values” solely in the context of moral issues.

While these issues are integral to our society and the source of many political debates, we believe it is our duty as elected officials and candidates to improve the quality of life by focusing on issues we all value: good-paying jobs, a quality education system, affordable health care and government that’s accessible to all Hoosiers.
