Joe Osborn understands our Hoosier values because he lives them every day. He grew up on and still lives on a farm. His work as a union member has instilled in him a strong work ethic and sense of justice. He has raised a family here and shares the concerns of others who want to do the same.

Osborn has been a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 for 33 years and has worked for Freitag-Weinhardt, Inc., a division of FA Wilhelm Construction, for 15 years. As a union business manager, he dealt with government officials, contractors and the many issues that impact workers, including pensions, healthcare and education.

Osborn is active in many community organizations, including the United Way of Wabash Valley, March of Dimes, Vigo County Relay for Life, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation and the Wabash Valley AFL-CIO. He is also a member of the Elks, the Masonic Lodge 541 Centennial and the Scottish Rite.

Osborn and his wife Teresa are the parents of two adult children, Joe and Sarah. They reside in Brazil.
