Linda Klinck is the definition of an experienced, effective leader. Her dedication, strong work ethic and innovative ideas make her the right choice for District 18.
Klinck has a long career in public service. From 1993 until 1998 she worked in Cass County government. She served on the Logansport City Council for six years while also working as a program manager for the Indiana Department of Commerce’s Main Street Program. In 2004, Klinck was appointed to serve as the Deputy Mayor of Logansport under Mayor Mike Fincher and she continues to serve in that capacity today.
Before her work as a public servant, Klinck was a small business owner. She ran her own business, Linda’s Carriage Barn, for 16 years. She was the first executive director of Logan’s Landing, a national certified Main Street Program for downtown revitalization and was instrumental in securing a $450,000 CFF grant for the streetscape project.
In addition to her duties as Deputy Mayor of Logansport, Klinck also currently serves as president of the Cass County Historic Preservation Foundation, the Cass County Tourism Commission and Logan’s Landing. She serves on the Steering Committee for Diversity Dynamics, Intercultural Community Alliance, Salvation Army Board, Logansport Plan Commission, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana (HLFI) Statewide Project Review Committee and the HLFI Northern Regional Advisory Council.
Her past community involvement includes serving as President of the Cass County Carousel Board where she oversaw the million dollar restoration and building project of the Dentzel Carousel. She was also the chairman of the 1997 National Carousel Convention and a member of the Cass County Historical Society and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
She and her husband David have been married for 35 years. They have two children and three grandchildren and are active members at Cross-Wind United Methodist Church.
