Warren Goodrich, a former small business owner and long-time Shelby County Building, Plumbing and Electrical Inspector, is running to serve as the senator for District 42.
Goodrich is a published author, accredited teacher and a nationally certified building and electrical inspector. He has taught electrical code classes in several towns, including Shelbyville, Greensburg, Connersville and Rushville. He also taught classes for White Water College, Ivy Tech, the University of Vincennes and the Blue River Career Center. In addition to his educational work, Goodrich co-created a web site to help people with their do-it-yourself home projects.
Goodrich is an active member of the community, recently serving as president of the Indiana chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, and previously as the director of the Home Builders Association and as a Boy Scouts District Commissioner. He has also donated resources to the improvements of the Shelby County Fair, creation of the Blue River Festival, the Shelby County Sheriff pistol range and Job’s Daughters concessions.
